Hi all. When I run fink scanpackages or apt-get update the process just
hangs forever. No error messages. I cannot figure out how to get apt-get to
give me a detail of what it's trying to do and where it is stuck.
I've seen this popping up in the archives going back for years. I'm
guessing I need current, vetted to be working versions of sources.list and
fink.conf for Mac OS X 10.11, "El Capitan." Presumably apt-get is trying
to contact the wrong servers or use the wrong trees or something like that.
Please post vetted files or links to same. If it matters, I am located near
Boston in the USA and I use a commercial ISP (Comcast) to access the
internet.
Thanks for your help.
