Here is the error message:

This was on a binary install.  Here is the result of a standard install:

> Can't resolve dependency "system-xfree86-dev (>= 3:2.7.112-3)" for package
> "plotutils-2.6-6" (no matching packages/versions found)
> Exiting with failure.

I tried apt-get but that didn’t fix the problem.
