Advection-diffusion combined with Cahn-Hilliard could work, as could advection-diffusion-reaction equations. What is used in the literature for your field?
If you have identified a mathematical model, we can help you implement it in FiPy. Your question as posed is too open ended for us to help. Also, the mailing list is deprecated. I would like to represent the 1D transport and the speciation (transformation of mercury species into methylmercury) of mercury in surface water. I think of using the advection-diffusion equation as in the fipy examples to describe the pollutant transport and to use the Cahn-Hilliard 2D example but in 1D to describe the transformation of mercury species into methylmercury. Please my questions are: 1- Is my reasoning correct? 2- How do I do this, since I'm new to Fipy, Pytoh, Programmation,... Thank you in advance. Yours sincerely, Marie. -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] View this message at https://list.nist.gov/fipy --- To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] View this message at https://list.nist.gov/fipy --- To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to [email protected].
