Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Interface Improvements (example) Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Bjorn Hansen (holomorph) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Choos contour plot options (matplotlib) Initial Comment: It would be nice to be able to choose the color spectrum that the matplotlib viewer (and possibly others, but I haven't used them) uses without having to modify the fipy source or subclassing the viewer. If this is not easily done in an elegant fashion, I think 'jet' is a much better default colormap than 'hsv'. It would also be nice to be able to choose between filled plots (contourf) and line plots (contour). I'm not sure the best way to do it. It would also be handy to be able to choose the number of contours; I've submitted a patch which adds functionality in the matplotlib viewer, but suspect it might be useful in other viewers as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=681144&aid=1495063&group_id=118428
