In your base fipy directory do "svn switch http://matforge.org/svn/fipy/trunk ."

I can't remember how to install mayavi, it's been so long. Do you do
"python setup.py install" or something else? You may want to submit
that question
to the mayavi mailing list or browse the list (it may be at gmane). I
would be interested in knowing the answer. Did you try try this?

   <http://mayavi.sourceforge.net/install.html#source>

It should get the right python version.

No, we haven't done that yet. As far as I am aware you need the
enthought tool kit for mayavi2. I would have much preferred it if
mayavi2 had been
a separate package. We are hopeful that matplotlib will get some 3D capability
at some point. That being said, there is no reason that an interface can not be
created for fipy -> mayavi2. If you want to use mayavi2, it most
probably works well
with numpy arrays, so you just extract our numpy arrays form our variable
objects as well as the mesh positions and pass the data to mayavi2. Keep us
posted on how that goes.

Don't you mean 2.5?
