This is becoming a common problem on OS X 10.1.1. Take a look in Apple's
discussion boards. It is not advisable to have multiple login items until
the problem is addressed. Most fingers seem to be pointing at itunes
helper. I don't think anyone from Apple has formally addressed the issue.
I ran into this problem shortly after installing Office X. I wasn't able to
get any apps to launch at all until I removed all login items. Without my
knowledge, Entourage added one, as did itunes.
Running that prebinding script is also said to help, but what that actually
accomplishes is still somewhat vague to me...
