I believe all that is needed to sign into a jabber server is to simply 
put any name and password you wish into the particular client, connect & 
then your account is then set up on jabber's server on the fly. It might 
just be jabber.com & .org that are this public & other, more private 
one's  (like Disney & Bell South) maintain service subscriptions.
