Um, that wasn't a solution. It was just a note on how to use gdb. When you
get a SIGPIPE, something has gone wrong with the program. Ignoring it is
like ignoring that your front left wheel has just come off.
It's a bug with the AIM library. It needs tracked down and fixed. It's
just difficult tracking down randomly-occurring errors.
