Okay,

Since we have SO many people who are now building out of top of tree
whenever they feel like it, this is a WARNING to everyone.

I am going to check in the new msn library and the code to make it
*start* working.

What does this mean to you?

a) If you are a heavy MSN user - Do NOT upgrade to this version under
penalty of insanity. See the list below of things that are broken.
b) Things are broken.
c) Things are broken.

What is broken?

a) Buddy list management is not fully supported at all yet. If you
have older buddies who are not on your actual MSN buddy list, you will
nee dto resave them.
b) Do not try to reconnect MSN after a disconnect. Fire WILL crash.
All bug reports about this will go directly to /dev/null.
c) There is no group chat yet.
d) Everytime you connect you will get a messages from "Hotmail". this
is the New Mail notice. I am not handling it correctly.

What does work?

a) Sending and receiving messages
b) Status works fine
etc.

What has changed?

a) Your user name and ALL buddies must now have a fully qualified
email/passport address
b) Everything will eventually be more stable, but for now it is very
unstable.

I plan on working on this over the next week as we prepare for the next
release of Fire.

I urge you not to upgrade unless you are a developer. Users are most
likely in for a world of hurt.

Of course, if you don't use MSN at all, this really won't affect you.

Eric
