The problem here is that this *totally* sucks for a casual IM user who
uses fire because it *hides* all of this complexity. I would guess far
less than 10% of the Fire users need this much control.
For a future version it might be nice to instead create user creatable
status' (not away messages, but status').
How this:
Most people use the Available, Away, yadda that we provide. Add a new
menu item - create my own status.
This would allow you to create MyAway. Which sends DND to ICQ, Away to
AIM, Invisible to Yahoo, etc.).
Not the best solution, but far better that the one you gave for the
casual user ...
If you can agree with this - file it as an enhancement request on
sourceforge.net/projects/fire. We may or may not ever look at it :-)
