Hi all,

while looking at a linux icq app, Ive got an idea how some very
simple file transfer could be done. :)

So here it is:
Could Fire just open an ftp/http server for the time that the file
transfer takes and post a url to the file in question as a normal im
message? That would work with every service, since the other client
wouldnt do the downloading for himself, but rather the internet app
of choice would do it.

I know that this aproach would be verry limited and would not be true
file transfer, as it doesnt use the services own way to transfer
them. But till that would be implemented this could be a workaround
to at least provide part of the functionality.

What do you think about this?

cu Martin
