Title: IRC
As far as I am concerned Fire beats everything out there... Hands down, in all but one arena... IRC (the standard use in channels)... It rocks as an IM for IRC, but...

  1. I would like to be able to see if certain users are online on the IRC server, Can you setup a buddy in the form of: [EMAIL PROTECTED], instead of just rooms ? Or did I miss something?
  2. Would like to be able to send standard IRC commands to the server from the command line, so I don’t have to take my hands off the keyboard, to reach for the mouse. The GUI thing is nice, but for those of us who can type out /msg nick message faster than we can reach for the mouse, and click on something, it helps with being efficient, and being able do things fast from the keyboard. There is  form of this already in the bug list on SF.
  3. I scanned though the stuff on the board, but didn’t see a listing for speech in IRC channels... It can read a channel, but after it’s done... All additional lines are not read as new lines come in... That’s really cool for monitoring an IRC channel, without having to watch it...

MacOS X... Beating Windows into submission... Again...

Think about it, BSD-Unix w/ the MacOS Interface...
Can’t get any better than that...
