Convicted of? Indicted by? Being named on a watchlist, in and of itself, is not a disqualifier. Yet. (I found myself on a Canadian watchlist a few years ago, pulled aside on entry and interrogated by an immigration officer -- using interrogation techniques I used to teach resistance to in SERE school. I was finally and begrudgingly allowed to enter -- to speak at a political rally I had been invited to by a provincial MP.)
