Suppose we were trying to compile a list of all of the positive things that
the Bush administration has done to advance gun rights. What would be on the
list?
The only one I can think of is the Justice Dept. taking the position that
the 2A protects an individual right rather than a collective right. The
practical effect of this, however, is basically nil, because the position is
also that every extant federal law and regulation is reasonable and
constitutional under its view of the 2A.
Are there others that I'm not recalling offhand?
