The paradox is created entirely by you.  By what logic or evidence do you
introduce the term "free-market capitalist" to hang on domestic producers
of firearms who beg the government for protectionist policies in order to
enhance their profits?  Do you assume that anyone who sells firearms and/or
backs the Second Amendment is automatically of a libertarian bent?
Clearly, your own example shows this is not the case.  There is no paradox
here -- just a faulty assumption on your part as to the economic politics
of gun manufacturers.

   I myself have not created a paradox. I'm only relating to you and the group information I have read. At the same time I can relate to the author's thesis because as a consumer of firearms magazines I have accepted the false consciousness of the advertisements used by the gun manufacturers in their adds to sell guns.
  I still would appreciate help if anyone knows of any article on the effects of regulations apron firearms manufactures.
