"Once Garcia [the passenger who had been sleeping in the back of the
carjacked van] was awake, he pointed a handgun at Horn [the alleged
carjacker] and demanded he pull over on the shoulder of the eastbound
lane, police said."

"After Horn got out of the van, police said, Garcia fired a shot in his
direction." [They don't say why he fired.]

"Garcia returned to the truck stop in the van, police said."

"State troopers arrived and found two handguns loaded with hollow-point
bullets inside the van, police said. One of the guns belonged to Garcia,
the other to Jimenez, police said."

"Police said they found Horn walking down a westbound ramp of the
interstate."

"Besides carjacking, Horn was charged with burglary and theft, police
said. Horn was committed to Warren County Jail under $50,000 bail."

"Garcia was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes,
aggravated assault and possession of hollow-point bullets. He was sent
to the jail under $25,000 bail."

"Jimenez [the original driver of the van, who cell-phoned the sleeping
Garcia to wake him up] was charged with weapons offenses and committed
to the jail under $10,000 bail, police said."

Whooboy! Foil a carjacking without hurting anyone, Go to Jail.
