I am having a little trouble finding the decision in the Utah courts for University of Utah v. Shurtleff.  I have found an appeal at http://attorneygeneral.utah.gov/HPI/Brief%20of%20Defendant_Appellant%20U%20of%20U%20v%20Shurtleff_.pdf that suggests that Shurtleff was appealing this beyond the Utah 3rd District decision, but I don't have access to Lexis, so I don't know if there was a Utah appellate court decision, so I don't what (or where) the final decision is.  I'm writing an article about the University of Utah's decision to defy a state law that specifically overturns the state court decision, so I am curious to see exactly how the University of Utah justifies that it has a higher authority than the Utah legislature.

I spent the last few days wandering the stacks of the University of Idaho, where I found a number of interesting items of relevance to this list.  I'll be giving you a summary of interesting articles about colonial and Revolutionary militias in the next few days.  (I'm on deadline for the U. of Utah article; stuff that pays obviously comes first!)
