I recall reading many years ago an article by Garry Wills in which he characterized gun owners as "anti-citizens" (I think) because their willingness to use guns in self-defense meant that they put their own safety above the safety of the society.  Can anyone point me to a copy of that article?  I think it might have been in the New York Review of Books in the mid-1990s.
