The UK firearms laws are renowned for their ineffectiveness and their
bureaucratic and complex structure, but this latest proposed amendment
to the Violent Crime Reduction bill still takes some believing.

showing the decline in the legal ownership of firearms, and the number
of people killed and injured by the illegal use of firearms in England
