Good news Joe! I have the utmost respect for Eugene, and a former NRA Pres.
suggests that the Second Amendment will be considered in judicial
appointments (IF McCain wins)

While we are on the topic of judicial appointments it has been reported
that Obama and Clinton voted against John Roberts Senate confirmation, while
McCain voted in favor. I knew there were a few votes against Roberts (22),
but didn't know who. Roberts was very, very, highly qualified and respected
by all in the profession who knew him. That makes Obama and Clinton look
more like ideologues than leaders. I expect Roberts to be part of the
majority affirming an individual rights approach to the Second Amendment.
His appointment may have been one of the keys to this upcoming victory for
civil rights. Although I am not a McCain fan, just another reason not to
vote for either of the Democrats.

It is great to learn that UCLA Professor Eugene Volokh and Tucson Attorney
(and former NRA President) Sandra Froman are on Sen. McCain's Justice
Advisory Committee. That should help to insure a competent federal bench.

Congratulations to them both.

Joe
