This occurred in Massachusetts.
Why is it "news" in a Minnesota paper?
Because it supports the Strib's editorial
policy that all guns are TOO dangerous
for public possession.

The Strib constantly runs stories about gun misuse somewhere in order
to unconsciously condition its reader's knowledge base. To my knowledge
they have been doing this since at least 1985. If a person is subjected to a
constant and exclusively negative news stream about guns, they'll naturally
conclude that the gun has no positive social utility and lots of social
cost. And then they'll be supportive of eliminating that social cost.

Manipulating "access" to information in order to further the newspapers
POLITICAL policies favoring the severe restriction (or elimination) of guns
from society is devious. No false stories. No outright lies. Merely the
omission of good stories in order to create a MISLEADING (false) picture
of the "factual" situation. If the facts are as misleadingly presented,
the reader's rational conclusion is that guns are BAD. And the reader never
realizes that he's been brainwashed.

If they were selling stock instead of policy, this would be a federal
crime. (xx C.F.R. 10b-5)

Tricky, those urinalists. Urr, ah, ... journalists.
