The author of this, Rick Anderson, is also the author of the cover
story in this week's Seattle Weekly, Seattle's version of "The
Village Voice". (IOW, a left-leaning local tabloid.)

BTW, that gun the girl is holding is not a toy. It is a real AR-15
style gun with the plastic "furniture" painted bright pink. One
company has paint specially formulated for metal/plastic, etc, and
has hundreds of colors. Most of them go to camoflage patterns, but
some of these brighly colored guns are appearing as custom projects.

Let the name-calling begin!

Notice the propaganda picture of the child with the toy "assault
rifle." Of course, name-calling, demonizing and propaganda are
techniques used by folks all across the political spectrum.
I guess supporters of the First Amendment are book nuts and
religious nuts, supporters of the Fourth Amendment are privacy nuts,
etc., etc., etc. For some people anyone who supports a right the
writer dislikes is some kind of "nut." I'm glad to see such
inclusive support for the Bill of Rights and Fourteenth Amendment.
