I seem to recall that most states have a statutory definition of the
militia, but currently no organized militia. For Wyoming, WS § 19-8-101
et seq.,

Wyoming also has something called the "State Guard", which some people
around here think is the organized militia. WS § 19-10-101

I seem to recall that was Maryland.

Also, the US Army put together something called the Alaska Territorial
Guard. They were guides and other folk familiar with Alaska, and
provide their own kit, including weapons.

something not mentioned in the Wikipedia article, that ATG members were
part of the invasions of Attu and Kiska, scouting the islands prior to
regular Army landings.
