I was reading a brief item about a student suspended from a public
university for writing a class essay titled "Hot for Teacher".

What does this have to do with firearms? I didn't see any connection
until I read that the instructor considered the student a threat
because he had written letters to the school newspaper defending CCW
on campus.

This is a fairly complex situation with a lot more going on than just
the firearms issue - but it illustrates the real difficulty in
distinguishing between threats, imagined threats, wacky speech, and
freedom of expression.
