A few years back, I was digging through legislative
journals for California's 1917 and 1923 CCW laws,
the 1863-4 law, and the 1870 repeal of the 1863-4
law. I have the dates that the various bills
that became these laws were voted upon, with the
expectation that at some point I would
do some digging into newspaper coverage of those
dates to see what, if anything, anyone
said about these bills. The circumstances under
which the CCW law was repealed in 1870 might
be especially interesting.
Anyway, I have these notes, and copies of the
1863-4 and 1870 acts. If anyone is interested, I
would be more than happy to email you a PDF of
these notes and session laws. I am trying to
scan everything that I have of any lasting value,
and throw away thousands of pages of notes. If anyone
