So, to summarize, I've got empbuild.exe to work by copying fbclient.dll to the empbuild dir, creating a plugins sub directory and copying engine12.dll to it. This seems a bit clumsy. make_examples.bat adds the newly built engine to the path. empbuild.exe can load fbclient.dll correctly but that fbclient does not seem to be able to load engine12 from the plugins dir underneath it. However, if the files are copied as I mentioned above it all works. (Ie, empbuild.exe builds empbuild.fdb.) So, is this how embedded is meant to work on windows? All files must be physically located in the correct dir structure local to the executable?
