Borland interpreted the SQL Standard to say that the intermediate results
of a
computation must be limited to the lowest precision of the input and output
variables. In my opinion, the Standard says no such thing. I gather that
V3
does carry more precision in intermediate results, which is a step forward.
If I said anything to suggest that Broadview is using its position to
influence
the direction of development, I apologize. Any project - open source or
commercial - owes its major users consideration when planning changes
to its product.
