The database is 75 Gbyte, but I can strip away all irrelevant tables and 
backup/restore. That should result in a small database with no sensitive 
data.

First, however, I'll have see if the problem persists after 
backup/restore. If it does, and still does after the size reduction, I'd 
like to try with latest FB 2.5 and see if that resolves it.

I'll post results here when I've done that homework.
