Dimitry,
How would I do that when I can't get access to the gdb file? They have been locked out of having any file access to their servers. The database server can only be accessed through the c++Builder app that once used sysdba and masterkey but has now been changed to have the new SYSDBA password hard coded into it. There used to be a screen in the program where we could execute adhoc sql statements which we used to update data and read data but they have turned it off now. Even still, the server is 1.5 and I was under the belief that you couldn't grant priviliages through dsql in that version. I understand why it would look like I am making a password hacking program, but the fact is, I kind of have to in order to backup their database. The reason that they have locked out my clients is that my clients are looking at replacing the custom software with a large off the shelf system. They figure that if they can make it hard, it won't happen.

Thanks,
  Matt.

Bull shit. You can attach to database as SYSDBA and see all data. Even
more: you can
create a new user and grant him all right to see data.
Instead of being coolhacker, you would better read Firebird manuals...
