Philippe, I've changed ISC_PASSWD to ISC_PASSWORD in SYSDBA.password, but now not 100% sure was it good change or not. On the one had we always had PASSWD in it. On the other hand - that's wrong, PSSWORD is much better! Now I can: cat /opt/firebird/SYSDBA.password export ISC_USER ISC_PASSWOR And everything works! But people who used PASSWD will be in trouble. I suppose I will better set both variables to same value. What do you think? PS. Looks like my comment in checkins is not good - after reviewing once more I still do not know why does all this not work for you...
