When the disk is full, firebird "terminated abnormally"

                 Key: CORE-4491
                 URL: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-4491
             Project: Firebird Core
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Engine
    Affects Versions: 2.5.2 Update 1
         Environment: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
            Reporter: Steffen Heil

NOTE: This is NOT 2.5.2u1 but 2.5.1.26351.ds4-2ubuntu0.1.
I cannot upgrade to 2.5.2u1 now, but I hope someone here knows if something was
fixed in this area.

When our volume ran out of space, firebird "terminated abnormally (-1)"
according to the guardian.
And it did not start again, complaining about not being able to open
"security2.fdb". Saying "No such file or directory".

However, when I freed some disk space, firebird started again without any error.
