Exactly, and with a set of (custom) external functions (UDFs), there's lots of powerful and complex things you can do. I've seen customer databases to test on for Database Workbench that had very complex stored procedures and triggers, not something you can or would want to modify to UDRs. There's years and years of coding in there.
