I already changed the way it works in Jaybird 3.0 and - I haven't tested it yet
- that shouldn't be affected, but backwards compatibility for protocol 10 would
be great as it ensures old Jaybird versions continue to work.

Intentional. But I didn't have in mind Jaybird while making this change,
now I need to think more about that. Maybe a rework would be required. I
will post an update on this later.
