If you're thinking that a plug-in should change the ODS version, then maybe the whole subject needs to be rethought. What we did with QLI was introduce a new set of tables specific to it and gave them a different relation type. QLI used those tables to store its procedures etc. Maybe a plug-in could do something like that and probe for the existence of its special tables. If you're considering forking the ODS for some other reason, what is it you're doing?
