This is not about positioned updates/deletes, but about a simplified syntax to
retrieve the output values without using many variables. It's implementation is
likely to be very different and it does not look easy at the first glance, but
it would be nice to have one day.
A somewhat related improvement would be to allow AS CURSOR (or should it be AS
RECORD?) syntax for singleton SELECT, EXECUTE PROCEDURE and EXECUTE STATEMENT
commands, and probably for INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE RETURNING too.
