To be precise the result in FB3 is:
T2
======================================================================
T1 _SUFIX
T1234567890 _SUFIX
where _SUFIX starts exactly at position == 31 (see message text with
monospace font to make sure), i.e. after the spaces present in the end
of CHAR(31) field RDB$RELATION_NAME. I'm not sure we will fix it in 2.5.
Shouldn't in the first result "_SUFFIX" start from 31st position as well?
When a
literal is assigned to a variable of type CHAR(31) it must be padded with
spaces up to
whole length of the variable, no?..
Should. What we see is just mail client (I use thunderbird) jokes. When
I was composing email it was like you say but looks like "too clever"
mail client eats spaces :)
I attach graphical screenshot to avoid misunderstandings.
