You started this thread because you wanted to test a client library, so
you should already know reason for testing a client library.
I think he was talking about testing connectivity libs
(IBX/Fib+/FireDAC/whatever) to deal with 64-bit txn numbers properly.
Supposedly, selecting from MON$ tables and using RDB$RECORD_VERSION
variable should be OK (as they're described as 64-bit by the prepare
call) but getting long transaction numbers from e.g. isc_database_info()
may show surprises.
