Lete me add my 2 words about this. I see no problems with 3d-party tommath, but if one plans to build redistributable universal binaries tomcrypt should better be builtin. By default it's built without any internal syncs which is not good for us: except races in some rare places there is even worse problem. Sizes of some structures, passed from our code (expecting presence of mutexes) does not match one expected by tomcrypt built in default way. I.e. segfault...
