I'm updating the docs for gfix with some information supplied by Ann
Harrison and she has asked me to check with you as to the use of checkums.
This is specifically related to the -i[gnore] option on the gfix command
line.
Apparently, checksums have not been used for some years after it was
discovered that the checksumming process consumed too much of the CPU?
My document still mentions the checksums and the -i[gnore] switch, so if
this is no longer used, I can update that part of the docs too.
