.........................................................................

Crashed my Firebird this afternoon. Lost control on a tight curve. Slick, rainy road, exit ramp to I-95 in the Bronx, drenched in oil and fluids from the tens of thousands of cars that take this ramp every day. Car spun out of control and front end slammed into a guardrail at about 30 MPH. Fortunately, no injuries and no one else involved.

I knew that these wide Dunlop GT Qualifiers were not the most stable platform for this motor. Now I will replace them -- but they're on wide wheels, so I'm thinking I should replace the whole wheel setup, match the rear with the front. But this is heavy $$$.

Is there a wide tire with good traction, that does not spin so freely?

What I need to get running again is a complete front end, including left and right front fenders. Hood is OK. Need grill, chrome nose piece, upper and lower bumper, left turn signal.

Also need a radiator, bracket, and fan.

I'll check Hemmings -- any other ideas? Would rather not buy new parts if I can avoid it.

Thanks in advance,

DOB
