I just finished restoring my 69 A/C back to factory specs. My heater hose runs
under the evaporator and POA valve. When doing mine I looked at 10 different
pictures and saw 10 different set ups. I sent all the parts I had to Classic
Auto Air in Tampa FL for restoration and they also made me the hose that you
are missing. It wasn't a cheap venture but everything is new or restored and
works great. I will measure the hose for you next time I work on my car.

Please send me pictures of your 1969 Firebird AC system. I am trying to
restore mine which was removed before I purchased the car in 1989.
Specifically I would like to see how the heater hose routes from the head to
the water valve in front of the evaporator case. The factory assembly
manual shows a fender mounted bracket to mount the valve. I dont recall
seeing this on cars I have looked at.
Also, if anyone knows that correct length of the low pressure AC hose
between the compressor muffler and the condensor that would be very helpful.
I mistakenly discarded my orignal years ago.
