Chris,

Yeah, I'm serious. We are restoring our house (1929) and keeping the original
plumbing. But I do have a, hmm, Mustang, too ('67 Fastback GT).

The POR 15 people (I called them directly) say to use their Marine Wash, Metal
Prep., and then the paint. So, I wonder why the name is "paint over rust" when
there are two prior steps.

Dan

Dan,
Are you serious, or is that your code name for an old mustang? :)

Listers,

All you with experience using POR 15: Are the Marine Wash and Metal
Ready preparation steps necessary? (Is "paint over rust" just a name?)
Or can I really paint over rust? (The rust is the inside of a 1929 cast
iron toilet tank.)

Sorry for the off topic.
