If you dont want to go to the next size bolt then you have a couple of options.
Fill the stripped part of hole with solder or brazing(no need to fill the 
entire hole just the threaded part)and let the bolt cut new threads.Or you can 
use a nutsert which is like a large threaded poprivet.
I wouldnt use JB weld as Im sure in time it will work loose.

I'll give the helicoil and JB weld a try. If I didn't already have the car 
freshly painted, I would go with welding a new nut in there.
