guess that explains why a NP trans would be in my 82 chevy pick-up. and why
the folks trying to repair it for me commented that whoever screwed it up
trying to make it right sometime prior used an amalgamation or GM and
chrysler components.
New Process. they may have made a trans that withstood the rigors of mopar
engine torque. but it didn't hold up behind a 6.5 chevy diesel.

I have a 1966/67 Muncie M21 4-speed that has reverse up and to the left.
Have you tried googling the case number(s)? I did that for mine and found
several sites that gave me useful infomation on it.

Sounds like the one that's in my 79 ElCamino. It was converted to 4 speed
by
the previous owner but I haven't looked to see which tranny it has (the
reverse is as you say).
