Hi Guys,

Barrett Jackson was a blast. If you have never been I would highly
recommend getting a few guys together and attending the event. There is
one in Palm Beach and new this year there is one in Vegas.

I got to meet the Assiters and Amie is even prettier in person:

Oh yeh! There were a few other ladies there too:

A few tips:
* Register as a bidder early, cost $400.00 (save $100). This includes
parking, all event access for the bidder and one guest, 10 drinks/day
each and entrance to all the hospitality nights, events, areas etc.
Extra guests are $150/each so split 4 ways it was $175 each.
* Use valet parking, $20.00 a day ($30.00 on Friday & Saturday) Split
between 6 of us it was only a few dollars extra each and you drove right
to the front doors. The first day we had to go to the main office to
pick up our credentials (Foreign bidder policy) and when we got out of
our car they had a golf cart take us right there. Very well organized.
* I would avoid Saturday. Way too many people. Tuesday-Friday were
great and you didn't have to fight the crowds.
* If your thinking of buying, look for cars going early or late in the
day and the owners are usually out in the tents where you can pre-view
them and ask a bunch of questions. As soon as the cameras turn on the 3
minute fame seekers show up and prices go up.

Of the three first gen bird that went through the one with the 572 cheby
motor was pulled, the black slightly modified 400 went for $30K and the
burgundy one sold for $46k Both very nice cars. The guy who purchased
the black 68 was from Edmonton and was on the return flight home. I gave
him the link to the first gen list so maybe we'll see him here sometime.

I bid on a few but prices were reasonable but not cheap. Especially
when you add 10% buyers fee, 5% GST tax and $3000.00 shipping to Canada.

Sucks to have to come home to the snow but at least we're on the back
stretch to spring and cruising weather.
