I have to say the same thing about the 2nd gen Pypes kit my friend and I put
on his 77 T/A about a year and a half ago. It hung WAY low. We left it
then, but it's just too low, so we gotta get back under there and modify the
kit to bring everything up a bit.

If they are better now, that would be nice.

That all said, I can't say enough GREAT things about the Flowmaster kit for
my 69. That thing fit so nice and tight up against the floor. Really nice.

I used the pypes kit with my 67. it sucked. Went to auto zone and got some
pipe to extend the front because the x wasn't fitting right. As for the back
my buddy's guys at the muffler just shook there heads. They made a couple
customs for the rear. That was a lesson learned in the pocked

Im working on a freshly frame off restored 67 convertible for someone and
it
has long branches and Pypes exhaust system with X pipe crossover.
So far Im not very impressed with the fit of it....
It hangs way too low and even without the convertible X brace it seems like
it could
move up about 2 inches.
The tailpipes hit both the leaf springs and body at the trunk extension.
I also dont see any provisions for the factory hangers to be used.
Looking for input so I can improve the fit.
Gary
