Thanks for the info. I just ran across a vendor on eBay offering a
replacement plunger for the original switch. I may try to disassemble
my switch and just replace this piece.

The switch is no longer available, nor has it been reproduced (last time
I checked). I used a universal unit from B&M:

The kit requires you to fabricate a bracket, but it works well once
adjusted. You may be able to find an original on eBay.
