I was just talking with a friend on Saturday who Owns a Large Muscle car parts place and he deals with all the various vendors out there. He told me that especially the larger suppliers of interior parts like PUI for example have been hit hard already. Their prices on Second Gen molded door panels have increased over 300%!!! It's expected that these parts prices will go higher, and this is just the beginning... so if your putting off that big order till you need a few more parts, you might start double checking the prices sooner than later. On the other side of the coin, there are at least two new vendors that are starting up producing some of the sheet metal parts and various items such as this that actually know what they are doing and he said they are guys that know the industry and how the parts need to fit... I'll get the name as it escapes me at the moment... Anyway, just thought I'd pass along the info just in case anyone was in the market for some of the parts that may be effected by price hikes in the near future if they haven't already gone through the roof.
