First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... This car was plagued with what appears to be an amateur assembly of key parts such as the driveshaft having 1-1/8x1-1-1/16 ujoints, tube was bent, transmission was hitting the tunnel, oil pan rubbing on crossmember, clutch fork hitting firewall, engine and trans skewed to a point that the crossmember was redrilled,PYPEs exhaust that hits body and fits horribly.....I could name more but Ive not found everything yet.Im doing a complete makeover of a car thats had a beautifully appearing frame off restoration with lots of money spent but is not a functional car due to all of this. Subject: Re: Subject: RE: [FGF] Driveline Vibration... From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 23 Feb 2008 07:39:24 EST One thing to check (from what I have been told) is the degree of pinion angle as compared to the drive shaft were it enters into the tranny. If the angle is incorrect a vibration will occur resulting (in my case) my drive shaft trying to come inside the car with me. Beat the hell out of the underside of the car. Just another possibility Terry In a message dated 2/21/2008 8:33:38 P.M. Can you copy me on this too? working on someones 67 400 that has a vibration also. Had the driveshaft retubed so we'll see if that cured it.
