This car was plagued with what appears to be an amateur assembly of key parts
such as  the driveshaft having 1-1/8x1-1-1/16 ujoints,tube was 
bent,transmission was hitting the tunnel,oil pan rubbing on crossmember,clutch 
fork hitting firewall,engine and trans skewed to a point that the crossmember 
was redrilled,PYPEs exhaust that hits body and fits horribly.....I could name 
more but Ive not found everything yet.Im doing a complete makeover of a car 
thats had a beautifully appearing frame off restoration with lots of money 
spent but is not a functional car due to all of this.

One thing to check (from what I have been told) is the degree of pinion  
angle as compared to the drive shaft were it enters into the tranny. If the  
angle 
is incorrect a vibration will occur resulting (in my case) my drive shaft  
trying to come inside the car with me. Beat the hell out of the underside of 
the 
 car.

working on someones 67 400 that has a vibration  also.
Had the driveshaft retubed so we'll see if that cured  it.
