David,

I will echo Wayne that the price seems too low. I grew up in Largo and had them rebuild a 68 350 Q-Jet and also a carb on an 81 Mazda RX-7 (I don't know what I was thinking about getting that . . . but it was only a few years old and looked cool then). I had problems with the Q-Jet, but that was 20 + years ago. I think that real problems that Q-Jets have is warping and vacuum leaks at the main throttle shaft. A simple rebuild isn't going to fix that. I used a guy in Daytona that did a beautiful job (plating and all that, but also fixed the warp and vacuum leak). I can look up the information if you want.

Has anybody here ever dealt with "Guaranteed Carburetors" in Largo Florida? They have come very highly recommended to me by a reputable local garage, but I wanted to see if anybody here has had experience with them (good or bad). They will completely rebuild my original Q- Jet for $218 and guarantee it for life. I don't have the time or the expertise to do this one myself, so I want to send it out. Any insight on this company or other rebuilders would be greatly appreciated.

Also, my '67 convertible is sitting very high in the front, so I bought the Eaton coil springs from NPD for a stock 400 w/o air, which I hope will cause it to sit lower. I have a 455 w/ aluminum intake and no a/c. Anyway, when I change the springs if the car does sit a couple of inches lower, will I need to have it realigned?

I am always very appreciative of the great advice and information that is so freely shared here! Many of my questions get answered before I get around to asking!
Thanks, David
